I missed it.
I completely forgot today was 11/11/11 and I didn't make a wish at 11:11am.
And I'm headed to NYC tomorrow bright and early, so I'm not expecting to see 11:11pm.
The worst part is that I don't think I actually care about the superstition of making a wish at 11:11, but when I was younger, (heck, who am I kidding? I still do this), I played this game with myself where I'd give myself different "points" when I happened to catch the clock at different times (on the hour, half hour, 11:11, 12:34, etc.)
For example, I'd be like "oh! it's 12:34, that's 1,000 points!" or "5:00! that's worth 500 points!"
There was/is absolutely no method to my point system, and the points don't mean anything, and I never kept track of how many points I had.
In summation, I'm a dork.
And I forgot to give myself the most epic amount of points ever at 11:11 this morning.

Hahaha- I love it! It's like the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway??" Where everything's made up and the points don't matter!! (Hoping you know what I'm talking about here!) Anyway, have a great and safe trip! And Happy 11/11/11 anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a student who turned 11 today :) It was pretty exciting for her... she was shot out of a cannon all day. I don't think she learned anything! Luke's at her birthday party right now.

It's funny cause acutally it's 11/11/2011... So we are about 1000 years late.. cause 11/11/1111 is more legit.. lol But I think your points system is superrrr adorable!
