It's been 4 days. That's 96 hours. 5,760 minutes. 345,600 seconds.
But who's counting?
Really, I do have quite a bit to be grateful for.
1. It's not February, so while it's cold, it's also bearable.
2. No one in my family was hurt by the storm.
3. I have awesome friends and family who are feeding me dinner, letting me do homework & bum their internet, etc.
4. Panera didn't kick me on Monday even though I stayed past 9:20 and they closed at 9. Gee, they're swell!
It could be worse.

WOOOOW! Can't believe this! Hoping this ends soon.. Hang in there girl! Glad you're safe!

AY YI YI...it's so hard to manage our lives without power! I hope you are at least having some great peaceful times with a lit candle and some great silence!
ReplyDeletewe've got power cuts, too- ours are from the rain. :) and, well, from loadshedding.
ReplyDeletethankfully, our power usually flickers in and out + every day we've got a power cut from 10am - noon. ours is usually scheduled and published in the paper!
Hang in there girl! We were hit by Hurricane Irene the end of October & just about everyone in our area was without power for a minimum of 2 days, but some people were without for up to 6. (yikes!) So glad you have somewhere to atleast hang out a little. Hope the power company gets you back up & running soon!
ReplyDeleteWe are new to your blog (and now following...woot woot) & loving it! If you get a chance, we'd love for you to visit our blog!

Wow! I hope you get electricity back too! We had a hurricane a few months ago, I guess it's been (I live in NC), and my apartment had power but no water for two days.. and I thought THAT was rough. Can't imagine no electricity for four days! Hang in there!
