i'm back! (and a Valentine's post a week late)

It's been a little while.

A week ago, a little thing called Valentine's Day happened.  I fully meant to post these photos in a timely fashion, but I just didn't.  Forgive me.

A few friends and I got a little messy making our own Valentines.  All three that I made are still sitting on my dresser.  I just never got around to giving them out!

But here they are:

This is a first...an outfit post!

As I was heading to lunch today, I thought I'd stop and take a few photos of my outfit because:

a) I desperately need some new pictures of myself

b) I particularly liked my outfit today

And I guess I should tell you what I'm wearing..cause that's what you do in an outfit post, right?

Sweater:  Target
Dress:  Ross
Tights:  I couldn't even tell you.  I might have stolen them from my mom.
Boots:  Target
Socks:  Target
Scarf:  Oxford, England ('twas a gift from a friend!)

So clearly, I shop at Target.

96 hours.

It's been 4 days.  That's 96 hours.  5,760 minutes.  345,600 seconds.

But who's counting?

Really, I do have quite a bit to be grateful for.  

1.  It's not February, so while it's cold, it's also bearable.

2.  No one in my family was hurt by the storm.

3.  I have awesome friends and family who are feeding me dinner, letting me do homework & bum their internet, etc.

4.  Panera didn't kick me on Monday even though I stayed past 9:20 and they closed at 9.  Gee, they're swell!

It could be worse.

Yeah, we're fierce. (Maybe?)

It's occurred to me today that I really have no good recent photos of myself.  Apparently, I've forgotten how to smile like a normal person.  It's so sad, since only a year ago, I managed to make it through a photo shoot with my apartmentmates.  

Most of the time these days, when I'm around a camera, I'm doing a shoot for someone else.  But I found these photos from the day that I did the Chromatic Wakeup shoot in August, and they made me laugh, so I just needed to share.  And trust me, these are the best from that day.  Sad, right?

I don't even know.  I'm hiding maybe?  There's just so much going on here.

This last one showcases my "fierce face."  Really, I just look disapprovingly at the camera.

Disclaimer:  

It was hot.  I just finished doing a shoot with 6 guys.  I wasn't exactly prepared to have the lens turned on me.  Seriously...I didn't even have my cute cream pearl-adorned cardigan on.  Boo.

But really, this is proof of why I don't post pictures of myself on here these days.  

Good ones just don't exist right now.  

thank you, iphone, for always being there for me.

and by that, I mean being there to redeem me when I've once again forgotten to bring my camera with me, despite my "I will take my camera everywhere I go" resolution.

So here's what's new from my phone:

My first pie!  Credit for the design goes to Christine Hunkler.  I completely stole it.

I think that's a secret I'm still trying to learn, but verses like this give me hope.
